Anyone renewed a residence permit this month? What changed?

Mine ends in October. The list on the official site looks the same as last year — is it really? Anything you wish you had known?

Mostly the same. Go to the Public Service Hall well before it ends — a month ahead at least — with your passport and proof of address. Everyone I’ve gone with had the new card in about ten days.

Update: bring the old card too, even though the list doesn’t mention it — they asked for it twice this month.

If you travel soon, ask about the faster option at the desk. It costs more and saves the wait.
